Chapter 300 In Prison
- Boss Jess… She had never heard that name before. But judging from the woman’s aura, this person was clearly used to being in charge. She stood there, calm and steady, watching Natalia with a faint, almost amused curl at the corner of her lips.
- The woman with the buzzcut looked like someone who’d lived her whole life on the streets—every move, every word carried that rough edge. When Natalia refused to answer, the woman immediately lost her temper. She took two long strides forward, grabbed Natalia by the collar, and slammed her against the wall. Their noses were practically touching as she sneered, “Don’t think being deaf’s gonna stop me from beating the crap out of you.”
- Natalia had never been in prison before. She didn’t know the rules here. But if inmates could act this arrogantly while the guards outside didn’t react at all, then it had to mean one of two things: either Alexander had ordered them to let her die inside, or this Boss Jess really was someone they didn’t dare provoke.
