• A sense of total disbelief overcame me as I watched Beatrice simply leave the restaurant, giving me no explanation. She left me standing there alone, after the unfortunate way Louise questioned our relationship. Beatrice had never done anything like this before, and I could never have imagined that she would be capable of such an act.
• Despite feeling extremely irritated with her actions, I couldn't entirely say that she was wrong to do so. Louise had crossed all boundaries, questioning me in that way about something that was none of her business.
