• My heart is beating too fast, my breathing is quickening and even though I'm trying to take deep breaths, the anxiety is still too powerful. I'm making a gigantic effort to shut off my senses so that I don't hear what's being said in that bathroom.
• The fright that Perseus and I got when we felt Sophia get up and the sense of guilt and anger that emanated from her was terrifying... Even more so the image of her hurting herself, even though I hadn't seen her nightmare, Perseus and I could feel it as intensely as she did. The feeling of being violated and just wanting to get rid of any trace of yourself.
