• Ava led me to the outskirts of town, to a place I never even knew existed. The roads twisted and turned, surrounded by thick forests that swallowed the sunlight. We were deep in the wilderness by the time she finally stopped the car. The building in front of us was nothing more than a run-down cabin, hidden from plain sight. Ava stepped out, gesturing for me to follow.
• “This is it,” she said, her voice steady. “No one knows about this place except for a select few. It’s our secret hideout from now on. Somewhere we can meet, strategize, and stay off anyone’s radar.”
