Chapter 3 Getting Justice
- After lunch, Kael hurried off to work at the supermarket. Known for his honesty, hard work, and lack of education, he became a junior supervisor.
- As soon as he arrived at the office,
- "Mr. Lewis! Harder! Oh yeah! Mr. Lewis! You're amazing!"
- The sounds of intense sessions between a man and a woman echoed from inside. Kael shook his head with a bitter smile.
- No need to ask. It was the supermarket manager, William Lewis, and his new secretary.
- "I better get out of here quickly. If I get caught, that sly fox will make trouble for me!"
- As luck would have it, just as Kael was about to leave.
- A gust of wind blew open the office door, which wasn't properly closed.
- William was still at it, butt-naked under the sunlight, while the secretary screamed, covering her chest and lower body with her hands.
- "Mr. Lewis! Someone was peeking!"
- "I wasn't peeking! It's a misunderstanding!" Kael hurriedly explained.
- William slammed the door fiercely.
- Ten minutes later, Kael was summoned to William's office.
- "Kael, you're quite bold! You dare peek while I'm working?" William said it coldly.
- Beside him, the secretary, now dressed in professional attire with long, enticing legs in black stockings, glared sternly.
- "Mr. Lewis, we can't tolerate employees who behave so irresponsibly," she added.
- Kael was close to bursting with anger. Who was behaving irresponsibly here? But for the sake of his job, he had to play along, keeping a low profile and forcing a smile as he pleaded,
- "Mr. Lewis, it's a misunderstanding!
- "I just passed by! The wind blew the door open. You're a big shot. Just pretend I'm nothing and let me off the hook, okay?"
- "Now you regret it?" William sneered. "Spying on the boss is utterly outrageous! I'll dock you half a month's salary. Go to finance and collect your money, then get lost!"
- "Mr. Lewis, I'm begging you. I have a family to support, and my older brother just returned and hasn't settled down yet. I can't afford to lose this job!" Kael's face turned pale, and his lips were trembling.
- "Begging won't help. I follow the rules!" William dismissed him.
- Plop! Kael dropped to his knees, repeatedly banging his head, crying and pleading, "Mr. Lewis, I can't afford to lose this job! My whole family depends on me! Without this job, we'll all end up on the streets!"
- I'm begging you! Please! Please!!!
- Thump, thump, thump! Kael's head was bleeding from banging it.
- William paused, smirked, leaned close to the secretary, whispered something in her ear, and then gave her rear end a playful tap.
- Soon, the secretary returned with a cup filled with yellow liquid.
- "Wanna stay, huh? Fine! Drink it! I'll let you stay on as my dog!"
- Kael glanced at it and was instantly furious. "You're too much!"
- He threw the cup directly at William. Instantly, William and his secretary were covered in a mess.
- William roared in anger, "Security! Get him!"
- Kael turned and bolted.
- Unfortunately, seven or eight security guards managed to hold him down. Kael tightly protected his head and soon lost consciousness from the beating. When he woke up, he found himself dumped on the street.
- Back home, seeing Kael's battered and bruised appearance, Freya exclaimed in shock, "Honey, what happened to you?"
- "Darling, I lost my job." Kael slumped despondently on the sofa.
- He felt a mix of self-blame, disappointment, and sorrow that life's immense pressure had crushed this six-foot-tall man's spirit.
- "It's okay. as long as you're okay." Freya embraced Kael, comforting him gently.
- "What happened exactly? Kael, who did this to you?" Darius's face darkened, and his fists clenched tightly.
- "What is it to you? Just mind your own business! Go chill wherever you want!" Freya snapped impatiently.
- Darius didn't ask further questions. He made a phone call immediately.
- "Green Dragon, check something for me ... "
- Ten minutes later, Darius's phone rang. He finally understood the whole story.
- "A mere supermarket manager dared to insult Kael!"
- "Green Dragon, buy out the Wellmart for me!"
- Soon, the top executives at Wellmart Group were shocked! A mysterious tycoon acquired Wellmart for 300 million!
- Refusal? A gun to your head—would you dare refuse?
- The acquisition went unusually smoothly, and the process took less than half an hour!
- After completing the acquisition, Darius pulled Kael aside:
- "Let's go!"
- "Where are we going?"
- "I'm going to make things right for you, bro!"
- Freya sighed. "Can you please not stir up trouble? What justice can you possibly bring?"
- "They're the ones at fault, not you. Why should an honest man like him suffer? Trust me, Kael, I will get justice for you!"
- Darius said it firmly.
- Kael nodded hesitantly, caught up in the moment.
