• "Why don't you come and introduce me to my son-in-law?" Hearing her call him her son-in-law filled me with joy, knowing that she had finally given her approval of my marriage to him.
• We walked over to where Albert was standing patiently near the car, waiting for us. "Albert," I called out, getting his attention.
• So he immediately hung off the phone to listen to what I had to say. "This is my mum," I said, making the introduction, as Albert's eyes shifted toward her with interest.
