Chapter 8 Look's Like It's Your Carburetor

  • -Kazer
  • I wasn’t surprised by the rumors passing around about Lee Lee. Kelly has a way to make sure she gets what she wants and she wanted the new guy to think horrible of Lee Lee. And it worked the whole class he stared at her in the most disgusting way and honestly I wanted to throw something at him for staring at her like that. She ignored it and took off the moment the bell rang. No surprise there.
  • I pushed through the rest of my day knowing I needed to go by a car shop after school. My car started acting up this morning and I knew that I needed to see if I could get it fixed. Once school was over I headed straight to my car. When i was only a few feet from my car I heard my name.
  • “Kazer!” Kelly yells. Running towards me.
  • She’s smiling god if only the tits were real.
  • She jumps into my arms and plants her lips against mines. Causing me to fall back on my hood. I say nothing as my hands drift to her ass and squeeze the absolute nothing of an ass she has. She giggles. This women is the death of me. She claims she’s saving herself but I swear I know she’s been with a few of the football players. But she won’t let herself go with me. Like what’s with that? But she’ll let me grab her ass and suck her tits. I groan knowing I can’t do anything and she pulls off.
  • “Soon baby. Soon!” She says. She’s been saying that for a year now. I’m growing tired of waiting!
  • “Well I gotta get going. I gotta take my car to the shop.” There’s only a few shops in our small town. So I already know I’m going to the closes one and the one my dad says he trust the most. I believe he said the guys names Mike. So that’s what I’m off to do. Who knows how much this will cost me. But my dad gave me his card to pay for it after I told him I needed to take it in.
  • “Oh. Okay then. I have some work I need to do so imma stay after school for awhile.” She smiles at me. She’s been staying alot after school aside from being the head cheerleader. But oh well.
  • “Okay then.” I simply say and watch her run off back to the school before she turns around one last time to wave me bye.
  • I pull myself up off my hood and get in the car and head over to the mechanic shop. I pull my car into the small parking lot they have and wait. I can see one guy working on the bottom of a car. But then I see a slim body appear from the back corner. All I can see are his legs at this point I guess they’re coming towards me. And then I see them. Well to be precise see her. Lee Lee.
  • -Kimberlee
  • By the time I get there my uncles garage I see him neck deep in a cars carriage. No literally. The car was lifted and all I could see was his shoulder and down.
  • “Uncle Mike!” I say as I walk in.
  • “Kimmy!” He calls.
  • My uncles nice to me as long as my Aunt Pearl is no where near. She’s a terrifying woman so I don’t blame the man. I’m even scared of her. One time she gave me the death stare for coming home late. Which I swear wasn’t my fault. I got tied to a pole at school on the football field. Kelly’s idea of fun. But she didn’t care why I was late just that I was. And when she gave me that stare of hers. I swear I thought my soul was about to evaporate and my body melt from it. But my uncle, he’s sweet. Don’t know how he ended up with a woman like Pearl. But hey it’s his one true love, I guess.
  • I head over to the office and put my backpack away before slipping into my blue overalls and head back to the cars. I usually work on the cars that have the smaller problems one I know how to do by now without a soul looking over my shoulder. Like timing belts, carburetors, brakes, wheel rotations and more. The easier of them is the air filters. I always find it crazy people don’t know how to change those themselves. It’s so easy a kid could do it. But no judgement.
  • As I’m walking out of the office a mustang pulls in. There’s only a few older mustangs I like, Shelby of course, Cobra and a Mach 1 which happened to be the one that just pulled in.
  • “Kimmy can you go see about that. I’m still in the middle of this.”
  • “Of course uncle Mike!”
  • It’s only me and my uncle most days. He had only one more employee but doesn’t work unless we’re backed up and need an extra pair of hands.
  • I walk over the Mustang waiting and they flash their lights at me. “I’m coming!” I yell as I start to sprint to the car. I walk over to the side and look into the window but it’s tinted dark and still up. I stand there waiting. And then the window slowly rolls down.
  • And fuck me. Are you fucking kidding.
  • Kazer is staring right at me smiling.
  • “Fuck.” Is all can manage. And that makes him laugh more. “What do you want?” I ask.
  • “Is that how you treat customers.”
  • I roll my eyes and look over at my uncle. He’s still busy. God. Hate or no hate. He is a customer and I have to be polite. I turn to Kazer and give him the most honest smile I could fester up.
  • “How can I help you today?”
  • “Now that’s better Lee lee.”
  • I ball my hands into fists but keep smiling.
  • “My cars shaking like right now. Mostly when I’m at stops.”
  • “Pop the hood” I walk over the front and he pops it. That’ll keep me out of his view. I pull my finger under the crack and find the gauge and pull the hood up. I look over the engine and listen. And I can see exactly what he was saying. The cars shaking.
  • “You see.” He says standing behind me awfully close. My whole body jumps at his voice. I didn’t even fucking hear him get out of the car. I don’t look back at him and I take a step to my left to avoid him.
  • “I look’s like it’s your carburetor. You’ll need to have it replaced.”
  • “And how much would that be and how long?” He asked glaring at me.
  • I felt uncomfortable to say the least but I didn’t let him know that. “It’ll be $350 and I can have it done within the next two hours.”
  • “You can?” He emphasized on the *you*
  • “Yes me. I will be changing it out. If that’s a problem you can find another shop.” I said
  • “And your sure you know to do that?” He asked tilting his head.
  • What the hell. Is he trying to look cute? Because it’s working unfortunately. Dam this man. God I hate him. And his good looks.
