Chapter 44 Disturbance
- Jackson stood in the doorway, his sharp eyes scanning the room. What was once a dark, dusty place had now been completely vandalized—tables overturned, furniture broken, and the air thick with tension.
- Inside, three men stood menacingly. They were not customers, that much was clear. Their expressions twisted with anger, yet their eyes clung to the woman behind the counter with a lustful hunger. She, in contrast, looked frightened, her hands trembling slightly as she tried to maintain composure.
- As soon as Jackson stepped in, all eyes turned toward him. The woman quickly spoke up, trying to mask the fear in her voice.
