Chapter 41 Desperate Attempts

• “Hey, Izzy, I prepared dinner,” Miles says as he peeks through Izzy’s door. “Would you like to eat with me before I leave?”
• The answer is a resounding NO, and yet, Izzy shifts her attention from her laptop to Miles. It’s late now. However, she finds the need to pretend that she’s busy just so there would be no more conversation with him. In fact, she already finished half of her work for tomorrow!
• “You don’t have to cook for me, Miles,” she answers as she returns her attention to her laptop. “Besides, I am still busy.”
