Chapter 21 Jeans And Comfort

• Izzy quickly throws on a pair of jeans and a plain white t-shirt before joining Carter in the living room. He is leaning against the wall, his arms crossed over his chest as he waits for her. As soon as she enters, his eyes immediately roam over her body, causing heat to spread through her face.
• “Ready?” he asks, holding out his hand.
• She hesitates for a moment before taking it. She can’t deny that Carter is drawing her in, and her brain is nonstop sending her warning messages. Her heart is body is sending the opposite message though.
