Chapter 4 Taken Home by a Woman

  • Jiang Xiaoxiao was stunned. Before she could respond, Li Sheng had winked at her.
  • It was evident that the little prince held great favor for Jiang Xiaoxiao
  • It would be amazing if Jiang Xiaoxiao could establish a good relationship with him.
  • Leaving her with no other choice, she had to carry the little boy once again.
  • Visibly pleased, the little boy hugged her tighter, eyes brightening.
  • Having grown fond of him too, Jiang Xiaoxiao carried the little boy outside.
  • After they had stepped out, Jiang Xiaoxiao smiled at the boy, while thanking him for his help, “Cute baby, thank you for helping me.”
  • “You are most welcome. She was just another nasty woman. There are plenty of women like her around my father. I’ve grown used to it.”
  • Though he was still a child, the little prince had sounded very assertive.
  • It was almost as if he were the soul of a grown man, trapped inside the boy of a young child.
  • Amused, Jiang Xiaoxiao teased, “You are so young, yet you claim that you are used to it.”
  • Sighing, the little prince suddenly became serious, “It can’t be helped. My father is extremely handsome, drawing the attention of women of that kind. They always surround him in such an irritating manner. However, you are different, Madam. You are pretty and gentle. I like you, so I’ve decided to look after you!”
  • Jiang Xiaoxiao almost fell over upon hearing his words. She was convinced that she had been deafened.
  • Look after me?
  • A five-year-old boy had actually said that he’d wanted to look after her!
  • Jiang Xiaoxiao was befuddled by his offer. Do you even realize the responsibility that comes with looking after someone? Yet you wanted to look after me? She brushed his words aside dismissively, as had brought him downstairs, determined to resume her work.
  • In spite of this, the little prince stared at her with eager eyes, “Silence is consent. This means that you have agreed, right?”
  • Breaking out into laughter, Jiang Xiaoxiao exclaimed, “Yeah, I have agreed!”
  • “Really? That’s excellent then! You will come home with me later.”
  • Mouth curved up in a smile, the little prince appeared to be happy, his fair cheeks turning rosy. He had looked so lovable.
  • With such adorable behavior, it was hard for one to resist the urge of kissing his cheeks!
  • Luckily, Jiang Xiaoxiao had managed to suppress her urge. She had found the situation to be comical, “Go home with you? I don’t think that’s necessary, right?”
  • Sternly, the little prince reminded her, “You had agreed to be under my care. Are you trying to go back on your word? My dad has told me that one’s nose would become long if they had lied.”
  • It was then when she realized that this little child was being fully serious. He wasn’t joking around.
  • Despite that… Isn’t this weird?.
  • He was still a young boy, whom had he learnt all these words from?
  • How did the Jin’s educate their next generation?
  • Soon, they had reached the ground floor.
  • A luxurious Rolls Royce was parked at the door.
  • The bodyguards had bent over and held open the car door. However, the little prince was still hugging Jiang Xiaoxiao tightly as he waited patiently for a response.
  • Embarrassed by his strong gaze, Jiang Xiaoxiao quickly forced out her words, “Baby, we shall see how things go, alright? Aunt Xiaoxiao needs to go back to work. You should return home soon, okay? As for regards to you looking after me…Hmm…let’s talk about it later, okay?”
  • “No. You had already promised me. You can’t go back on your promise.” The little prince was persistent.
  • Feeling troubled, Jiang Xiaoxiao blamed herself for not taking the boy’s words seriously.
  • What should I do?
  • She would be deemed a liar if she had disagreed. On the other hand, if she had the mind to agree…he was only so young and she wasn’t a pedophile.
  • Just as she was coming up with her next course of action, the little one questioned, “Are you reluctant to come over to my house?”
  • Jiang Xiaoxiao repeatedly nodded her head, “Yeah. The Jin’s are considered an affluent family. There would certainly be a lot of rules that I’d have to comply to. We’ve only just met today. If I were to go to your house, everyone would think that I am a swindler. Therefore, I cannot agree to your suggestion.”
  • Tilting his head forward momentarily, the little prince had seemed to accept her reasoning, “Okay then. It’s alright if you are reluctant to come to my place. We can always go to yours.”
  • “Cough…”
  • Jiang Xiaoxiao had choked on her saliva. Why are we still on this topic?
  • “We can’t do that too?”
  • The little prince was upset. His eyes had turned red, as he looked sadly at Jiang Xiaoxiao, “Aunt, do you hate me?”
  • Jiang Xiaoxiao felt heartbroken at his words.
  • Of course I like you. Why would I hate you?
  • You are so adorable and handsome. Your ruddy lips and white teeth make my heart melt when you smile, do you know that?
  • Jiang Xiaoxiao ended up agreeing and she replied, “Okay, okay. I will bring you home.”
  • With that, she carried the little prince along with her, before sitting on the passenger seat.
  • The little prince hid himself in Jiang Xiaoxiao’s arms as he was happy that his wish had been granted.
  • ……
  • At this moment, in the president office at Jin Group.
  • Jin Zhishen was behind his office table reviewing the finance report.
  • His assistant, Gu Nian, had brought a cup of coffee into his office, placing it on the table as he began to report, “Boss, Mr. Beichen’s bodyguard has called us to inform us that hehas caused a scene earlier today at Zhuoyue Creative.”
  • Jin Zhishen sat upright as he reviewed the finance report, before replying blandly, “If he wants to, just let him, as long as he is no longer sulking. If we need to compensate the company for any losses then just do it.”
  • Gu Nian coughed lightly, “There isn’t a need to compensate for anything, but… I’ve heard that he has been taken to a woman’s house.”
  • “Woman?”
  • Jin Zhishen finally looked up, frowning slightly, “What woman?”
  • “It seems that she is one of the employees working at Zhuoyue Creative. Accordingly, Mr. Beichen is very fond of her. He’d hugged her, refusing to let go. He’d even claimed he had wanted to look after her.”
  • Gu Nian felt awkward while reporting his findings.
  • Jin Zhishen’s face darkened upon this news, “Tell Zhiyi that if he continues to teach Bao nonsense, he will be sent back to Africa to manage the business there. He wouldn’t have to return again.”
  • “Yes sir.”
  • Gu Nian took note of his boss’ instructions before he carefully asked, “Should we send somebody over to bring him back?”
  • Furrowing his eyes in dismay, Jin Zhishen replied, “When he is sulking, he refuses to listen to anyone. I will go. Give me the address.”
  • “North City. It is a small community called Furong Garden.”
  • Gu Nian handed over the address to his boss.
  • Jin Zhishen nodded as he grabbed his car keys, heading out of his office.
