• I let out a long breath, running my hand through my dark hair once again. My mind drifted back to Lila almost instantly, her face flashing before me like an insistent memory. This was madness, obsessing over someone who was clearly off-limits. I had to get my head straight before it drove me insane.
• With a frustrated sigh, I reached for my phone and called Peru. The familiar ringtone buzzed in my ear as I waited for him to pick up.
