Chapter 6 Seduction
- 7:45.a.m
- Leaving her belongings on the desk. She knocks before entering Alexandro's already opened office. His gaze lifts to meet hers. "Good morning, sir," Kiera said softly, leaving his coffee on the desk.
- "Ms. Keira, could I be dreaming?"
- A smile appears on his lips as he slumps back in his leather chair. "I don't think so," she replies, chuckling.
- "20 minutes early," he exclaimed, glancing at his wristwatch. "Oh yeah," she smiled shyly. She arrived early because she had taken a taxi. Her boyfriend was being a dick.
- "Great," he declared proudly, making her feel good about herself. Perhaps arriving early was the best way to form a bond.
- "There is a ton of paperwork today, Kiera. Please set up the wines for the fundraising event," he said, passing her a document.
- "Yes, sir," she replied, nodding before taking off on her heels. "Kiera," he called out, and she looked over her shoulder.
- "That skirt is not appropriate for work," he remarked, and she cast her eyes down to her lovely new skirt.
- "Why not?" she sulked, and he got up to go get her by circling his desk. "Why?" he questioned.
- "Yes," she whispered, glancing up at him through her lashes. "Because I said so," he scowled and walked over to the filing cabinet.
- "It is not inappropriate, it is cute," she said quietly to herself.
- "Quit admiring yourself and get to work. He chastised her, and she nearly ran out of his office, but she remembered her demonic heels and walked out professionally.
- *********
- 1: 17 pm
- Kiera was tired of texting Ryan, who was obviously ignoring her. But she did not care; she would not have been concerned about him if her rent had not been due and he had promised to pay it.
- He had moved her from her previous apartment and rented her a larger one. Of course her salary could cover up for it but what will be left would be peanuts. And she can not afford to spend extravagantly.
- She had obtained this job fraudulently and could be caught at any time, so she needed to save for rainy days. Why would he be upset about little things when it was not even like she was cheating on him? Rich people with pathetic personalities.
- Alexandro just patted her on the head. He did not shove his dick inside her. So, what is all the fuss about? Or maybe he is just upset because she will not let him sleep with her.
- "Kiera," she heard him call out her name.
- "Coming," she replied as she walked into his office.
- "What on earth is this?" he cried out. She took a quick glance at his ink-stained hands, then at the printer. She had filled that cartridge.
- “ i..i” she stuttered. “Do you really not understand how to fill an ink cartridge?” It was obvious he was upset. "I am sorry," she blurted out of fear. She started tinkering around the printer.
- “ Don't! Just don't,” he snapped. "I have asked Ethan to do it. He hissed and wriggled his hands. "My goddamn clothes." He fussed and she rushed over to him.
- "It will stain," she says, brushing her hands over his shirt, not realizing she is actually touching his chest. "I am very sorry, Mr. Alexandro."
- She sulks, staring up at him. His frown had vanished. Actually, there were no emotions on his face. Her soul was being gazed upon by those Alexandrite eyes.
- "It is alright," he muttered.
- Her eyes were already tearing up, and she had no idea why. She was no longer the one who cried easily. Assuming there was a prize for the person who had shed the most tears in this world. Kiera would undoubtedly be the one. However, it had strengthened her even more.
- "Are you crying?" he asked, sighing.
- "I broke the printer," she explained, wiping away a small tear.
- "I said it was fine. I should have asked Ethan in the first place!"
- She was aware that his intention was to comfort her, which was very thoughtful of him. "I am sorry," she said quietly again.
- " I forgive you, Kiera." He smiled while looking down at her.
- “oh? Does he?” Her gaze dropped to her small hands, which were still on his shirt. Stepping back, she lowered her hands and cleared her throat. "I-I will get you a water dish," she offered, avoiding making eye contact.
- "I know where the restroom is," he scoffed before leaving her alone in the office. "Why in the hell did I touch his shirt?" she wondered, raising her hands and wiping her cheeks. She truly felt depressed today.Today seemed to be one of those days for Kiera.
- “Oh no”, a male colleague walked in, shaking his head. "I knew you were clumsy," he cursed, his arrogance showing through. Ever since she rejected him, he had harbored hatred towards her. Guessing Ethan sent him to check out the printer instead. “ I didn't break it dummy.” she frowned, crossing her arms over her chest.
- "Mr. Alexandro said it himself—you are the clumsy shit who broke it." He rolled his eyes at her before moving on to fix the ink holder.
- “Don't you have work to do?” He turned back to see her standing at the desk. “ Yeah I do, wanna help with?” She ignored his hushed remark and stepped out, almost blindly walking into Alexandro.
- "All clean," he smiled, waving his arms in the air, and Kiera forced a smile back at him. "I apologize again." He gives her a gentle pat on the head. "I told you it was fine."
- She nodded and walked back to her desk. Still no message from Ryan.
- Kiera felt as though the day was going slowly since everyone was so busy getting ready for the fundraiser. Her attention quickly flicked to her phone.
- “Ryan?” Nope, it is just another obnoxious employee asking her to bring seven cups of coffee into the conference room. "Yes, I am the girl who gets coffee," she hissed.
- ********
- Conference room
- “500 people should be more than enough, in my opinion."
- "My recommendation is to extend invitations and give them the freedom to choose whether or not to attend."
- "How will we cater to them?"
- At this point, Alexandro's head was hurting. The men could not decide on anything. He’d like to step in but fuck it. They should be capable of handling the guest lists. Provided that his VIPs have already been invited and chosen.
- Alexandro's thoughts were still racing when his gaze shifted to Kiera, who had just entered with the coffee tray. She stresses him out, sometimes she can be very clumsy and weird. At times, there seems to be something off about her.
- "Coffee," she uttered, chiming as she passed out the cups. The way the men let their perverted eyes trail up and down her body irritates him. He does not care if she is 21; she is still a fucking kid to him.
- “Thank you Ms.Kiera,” he took a sip immediately.
- "Anything else, Mr. Alexandro?" She gazed down at him.
- Okay! In all honesty, she was breathtakingly beautiful—like, naturally beautiful. Just a little make-up and no fancy clothing. She was not wearing those rimmed glasses today; just a simple pretty girl.
- "You could put on a longer skirt." Alexandro's comment caused the entire room to fall silent. Kiera's cheeks flushed immediately, and her lips parted to speak, but she simply froze. The men switched their gaze from her to his.
- Yes, he did say what he said.
- "That will be all, Ms. Kiera," he announced, and she cleared her throat. "Okayy…sir," she replied, turning to her heels. She literally rushed out. Embarrassed he hoped.
- "She should learn how to dress appropriately. Perhaps she thinks it is cute, but it is incredibly distracting. Not distracting to me, of course, but to the other guys.” Alexandro reasoned internally.
- Lifting his gaze, he saw that Ethan was staring at him, a mischievous look on his face.
- "What in the heck is he thinking?"
