• I’ve watched Trent struggle with Eric's judgment all my life. I knew—maybe not as well as Trent—but I got the message Eric was sending loud and clear even though he never said it directly to me.
• And it was just this one case where Eric's opinion ruled. Just me, that’s it. Any other time Trent was free to do whatever he wanted. Even if he and Eric disagreed, Eric stood by him. If Trent needed something, Eric was there. And if Eric needed Trent, he didn’t even have to ask for help.
