Chapter 8 Sunny's Boyfriend

• Sunny's POV
• “And where is your boyfriend, huh, Sunny Peruvian?”
• I almost jumped from where I was standing when I suddenly saw my mom, dad, and Mira standing by the doorway while looking at me suspiciously. “Is that really your boyfriend? Isn't he the well-known CEO named Damon Furlord? I always hear his name from the news."
• "Err…"
• "We don't care about that, Jack. The problem here is that this kid of yours didn't even tell us about his boyfriend and she didn't even ask him to have some dinner here in our house." Mom said.
• "That's right, mom. Even her older sister, who's been with her since the day she was born, doesn't know!" added Mira. I just rolled my eyes as I started walking inside the house while they're still following me. "Tell that man to go here again and meet us."
• “Mom, he won't go here again,” I said. I walked towards our kitchen to get some water and drink it.
• “And why is that?” asked Mom, looking like a real investigator who's accusing me of a crime that I didn't even do. “H-He's a busy person, mom. You know, he's a CEO. That only means that he always has meetings to attend, high-profile people to meet, and works to do.”
• Dad suddenly appeared too with Mira, and they sat on the chair, looking at me. "Well, if he's busy, for sure he can make a time for his beloved girlfriend, right?"
• "That's right. Come on, Sunny, invite him over here again so we could talk to him," said Mom.
• "Mom, I don't want to invite him over..."
• "You'll invite him over or I'll just call him over? I can do that." Mira suddenly said. I heaved a sigh before I nodded my head, "Fine! I'll invite him over again. But maybe next week or next month, or when he's no longer busy."
• I was surprised when Mom and Dad suddenly laughed. "That's good, my daughter! We are actually so happy that you finally found a boyfriend!"
• "Your mom is right, Sunny. Who would have thought that you will have one when you don't even go outside your room and whenever you go outside, that's when you have to go to school or meet with your editor." Said, Dad.
• "I'll go upstairs now," I said as I started ascending the floor, going to my room. Thanks to that demonic CEO, I now have something to discuss with my family every single day. Pretend to be his girlfriend? Tch, why did I even use his photo as my book cover?!
• I was about to close the door of my room when Mira suddenly appeared in front of me, forcing herself to get inside my room. “What are you doing here?” I asked her .
• She showed me the pillow that she was holding and smiled at me, "I'm going to sleep here with you. Let's have a sisters' talk."
• "Mira, I already did something that I wouldn't be doing for the rest of my life today so please enough today, I want to take a rest already."
• "What? So, you think of sleeping with me as something you can't do too? Sunny, I'm so disappointed with you." She said as if she's about to cry. There she is again, playing her best actress role "Fine, go inside now. Just don't go around touching my things again." I said as I opened the door of my room.
• And as if she won the lottery, a wide smile appeared on her face as she ran inside my room and lay straight on my bed. “You know SUNSUN, I think your room is better than mine. It's so calm here although there are so many trashes.”
• “Are you complimenting my room or insulting me?”
• I lay down on my bed too, taking off my glasses and putting them inside its case, and placed them above my side table. Mira then tilted her body in my direction and looked at me, “Where did you meet Damon?”
• "Damon?"
• "Your boyfriend! Gosh, SUNSUN."
• "I just met him somewhere," I said, averting my gaze. The light coming from my lampshade is quite dim, so that's a good thing because my sister won't notice my face and the way I'm lying. "Somewhere? Where the hell is that somewhere?"
• "Tch just somewhere. I just saw him while I was walking down our street." I lied. "By the way, you didn't tell me that your boyfriend's Henry." I tried my best not to sound mad or disappointed.
• "Because I wanted to surprise you." She replied.
• Oh yes, I was so surprised, super.
• She suddenly laughed as she leaned on my shoulder. "You know what? I even thought that you'll get mad at me because we both know that you liked Henry before. But then I was also surprised and of course, happy because you finally found someone you love."
• I tilted my body on the other side, pretending to be yawning when a single tear escaped from my eyes. "Henry and his girlfriend back then broke up because of a third party. His girlfriend had been dating some other guy while dating Henry. And so, when he found out about it, he instantly broke up with her."
• She took one of my pillows and hugged it, “After their breakup, Henry focused more on his studies and his job as a professor. I didn't know that he also went to Paris to visit his grandparents and one time, we bumped into each other inside the Louvre Museum. At first, I didn't know it was him, but then he remembered me and he even introduced himself to me and then since that day, we started hanging out with each other again until he suddenly asked me if I can start going out with him, and of course, since I like him ever since, I immediately said yes."
• Another tear escaped my eyes. What the hell is happening to me?
• "I'll go to sleep now. I still have to go to school early tomorrow." I said as I turned my back at her.
• "Huh? It's still so early? Are you sure you're going to sleep already?"
• "I feel so tired already, please just let me sleep."
• "Oh, okay... Good Night SUNSUN..."
• And as I closed my eyes, tears started streaming down my face. I even put my palm to cover my mouth just to stop myself from sobbing, no matter how much I want to cry out loud. Today, my first love broke my heart for the second time. And knowing that he already has his new girlfriend is not the most heart-breaking, but him having my sister as his girlfriend really hits hard.
