• Some hours had passed since the doctor had informed me that Isabella wanted to be alone. Though I wanted to respect her privacy, I couldn’t shake the nagging feeling that something was wrong. The mate bond between us was stronger than ever since I had marked her, and I could feel her turmoil radiating through it.
