Chapter 52 The Arrest

• Nothing happened afterwards that night. Even after he was back to normal, Tarik couldn’t find it in him to try again. Clea just wanted to sleep. Sleep, and maybe never wake up due to the stress of it all. Fortunately, sleep found her. And fortunately, despite her wishes, she found herself awake the next morning.
• The problem was what woke her up.
• “Tarik!” A shout so loud and resounding and familiar, pierced through the chirpy quiet of the forest morning.
