Chapter 37

• Lucas finally caught up to Maria, his car screeching to a halt as he blocked her path. Maria, realizing she was trapped, tried to make a run for it, but Lucas was too quick. He jumped out of his car and grabbed her, spinning her around to face him.
• "You're not going anywhere," Lucas growled, his eyes blazing with anger.
• Maria struggled against his grip, but Lucas held her firm. "Let me go," she spat, her eyes flashing with defiance.
