- The night flies by with Chloe charming my parents and the members of the pack at dinner with us. She meets several of the betas and council members. She seems at ease with them and not too anxious, but when we get in the car to leave, I can see the relief on her face.
- I reach over and touch her knee so gently to give her comfort. "Was it that bad?" I ask her.
