Chapter 33

• •MATTEO’S POV•
• It’s been a full day since after the incident that occurred and Aurora wasn’t awake as well. The doctor had said during the last check-up that she was mentally exhausted and needed proper rest hence her not waking up immediately, also her head had somehow managed to hit the marble floor while trying to avoid the crashing chandelier and the impact would leave her waking up with a bad migraine if she awakes without enough rest.
• I and Anthony on the other hand have searched everywhere, the whole house and all its rooms, outside the building too for any trace left behind by the culprit but haven’t seen any. The one one-on-one investigation came out futile as none of them were found suspicious as they all proved their alibi. It seemed like a dead end to us and I was mad at myself.
