Chapter 1

• Luana Davis
• My life is a mess! I work so much, and I hardly have any "leisure" time. I'm on the verge of losing the man I love because of all the hustle and bustle, and that needs to change!
• I've always been the quiet type, the one who thinks she needs to please everyone and does everything she can to make everyone happy! But lately, everything has become so complicated.
• I just graduated and got a job as a court officer. I have a small desk, but a lot of work. Sometimes I have difficulties with some of the employees there, but I always choose to do my part.
• I see that my cat is alone, so I decided to tell him the news right away!
• "Don't worry, my love! I promise we'll go on that cruise I promised!" I told him, as he sat on my couch with his usual serious face.
• "Did you manage to get the money?" he asked, turning to look at me.
• "I did, we're going on Friday! We'll stay there for two days!" I said excitedly, hugging him from the side and even squeezing him.
• "Phew, that's good! Because I used that money from the debit card you left with me, and I still haven't found a job! But if you're paying for the cruise, then things must be good, right?" he commented, sounding a bit cold. I know he's been upset about some things...
• "It's okay, love, no problem! I found another way to pay for this cruise, I just want us to be okay!" I said, kissing him, and he softened his expression a bit.
• "Are you going to stay in the same room as me? I'm tired of you stalling!" he asked, looking at me with a sideways glance, and I knew what he was talking about.
• "Yes, it's a luxury cruise! You'll see how much you'll enjoy it there! The pool is amazing, I saw pictures of everything, including the room!" I disguised, because, in reality, he's very handsome and well-groomed, and I'm so simple, and sometimes even clumsy.
• "Hmm, okay!" he replied, but I'm sure everything will be fine.
• The days went by, and I needed to organize myself and fix everything, and I only had time after work because that office keeps me busy. So we didn't see much of each other these days.

• "Luana! You need to organize these documents, I won't have time!" says my coworker, but I didn't quite understand.
• "But isn't that your job? I thought you were the one in charge of these types of processes, as well as the visits and seizures!" I replied.
• "Well, I won't have time, the visits already tire me enough. You'll figure it out, won't you? I'm leaving now, I'm in a hurry!"
• She doesn't even wait for me to respond and leaves me with everything. I'm used to it, the boring and bureaucratic tasks always end up falling on me, and I end up doing them because someone has to, right?
• I'm not an ambitious woman, I'm twenty-five years old, recently graduated, and I'm satisfied with my job. Of course, I have the dream of one day finding my prince charming and living one of those romance novels and soap operas, I just hope I'm on the right path!
• On the day of the cruise...
• My boyfriend came to my house, but he started getting ready in my bathroom, saying that I have everything here and that his hair requires an absurd amount of care, according to him, so it's okay! The problem is that he was taking too long, and I was already worried, so I called him:
• "Darling! Don't take too long, we're running out of time for our embarkation!" I said to him, who was still getting ready.
• "I'm ready already, you're just too fast!" I saw him looking at me closely. "Why don't you take off those glasses today, Luana? It's not attractive!"
• "I can't see anything without them, I can't!" I said disheartened, because I worked really hard to make this cruise happen, I had to borrow thirty thousand from a loan shark, and I still don't know how I'm going to pay it back, and I'll have to figure that out later, but it doesn't matter, because it will be worth it, and I'll fix my relationship.
• I always do everything to please him, but I'm not that attractive, and he never liked my glasses, I don't know if it's the lenses or the black frame, but I know our relationship has been going wrong, but it must be because I work too much and don't have time for him, and he's very needy.
• We finally took a ride-sharing car to go, he sat in the front seat, and I had to sit alone in the back, and when I went to use my card...
• "It was declined, ma'am!" said the driver, and I frowned.
• "How? I still had plenty of credit yesterday..."
• "I needed to use it, sweetheart! I like yours because of the points, but you can use the other one, you don't mind, do you?" he asked with that look that melts me, and of course I wouldn't deny him anything, I love him so much!
• "Of course not! It's fine!" I said that, but inside I was worried about the expenses, but if it's for him, or for him, I don't care! The only thing that matters to me is that we reconcile, I believe two nights will be enough, I've never given myself to any man, but today I will be completely his, I love him so much, and I know that's what he wants, because he has always been a womanizer, and he must not be able to handle this situation anymore.
• It was quiet in the car, and I was feeling strange, with body aches and a runny nose, so I started sneezing.
• "I'm a little sick today! My body isn't at its best! Achoo!" I said, and he looked at me and then said:
• "You'll get better soon, it's just a little fussiness!" he said half-smiling, I think he was joking, but I didn't say anything else.
• When we arrived at the location, I thought he would help me, but he went ahead, analyzing the view, and left me behind with the suitcases.
• "Achoo!" I sneezed again!
• "You got it, right? I'll look for a bathroom! And when I find a room, rest a bit, I'll be there soon!" he said, and disappeared ahead, I couldn't see where he was going or in which direction. I only saw him when he climbed the large ramp that led to the ship, and it was so beautiful. I was worried if I could carry everything and still find the room, but it's okay... here I go!
• The place was wonderful, enormous! It seemed like a floating city, with pools, tables with chairs and umbrellas, mats, you could see the rooms with a view of the sea, it was very beautiful.
• I arrived with some difficulty at the large ramp, which gave access to the ship's deck and there were already many people boarding at that moment, but it was also very last minute.
• I passed by the small tables, each with an umbrella on top, and then I went down to the part of the rooms, I only remembered the number which was one hundred and twenty-two, but surely I would find it, right?
• I was sweating cold, and the suitcases were heavy, I entered with difficulty, and to make matters worse, my glasses had been a bit loose lately, and I needed to adjust them constantly, and with my hands full it was quite difficult.
• I went in, and the space was not large enough to walk with suitcases, there were several people, and I was dodging as best as I could, you could tell that everyone was very well dressed, going from one place to another, and feeling my skin sweat cold, and when I least expected it, I felt my body being pushed by someone, and I felt my glasses falling to the ground. At the same moment someone held me, and when I realized it, I was practically lying in the lap of a man. A man I don't even know, by the way!
• I was without my glasses, so I could only see a blur, a faint image of what his face looked like, but the smell was great, he seemed very handsome, and he had strong and agile arms, which destabilized me so much that I even wanted to stay there. "Had I finally found a prince charming?" I think.
• I felt comfortable in his arms, I forgot everything around me, it seemed like everything was frozen, or in slow motion, no one has ever protected me like this, and I wish I had my glasses to see him better! "Glasses? Where are my glasses?" I think, and I am taken out of the trance, with the sound of something breaking near me.
• "Damn it!" I said quietly, more to myself!
• "You should be more careful, and not keep putting your glasses on the floor!" he said, helping me up, and I snapped out of the trance I had entered, and in the next moment I understood that it was my glasses that had broken, indeed.
• "Oh! I'm sorry, sir! I am really very careless, I should have paid more attention, I'm really sorry!" I kept repeating, but the man didn't take much notice, he handed me what was left of the broken glasses, and slowly walked away, leaving me alone again, with a sore body, and full of suitcases!
• I noticed many people looking at me, because they all stopped around me, they probably thought I was crazy, and rightfully so!
• But, everything was fine! I took another look, but now from a distance it would be impossible to identify that man, it was already dark, and I could hardly see, and I'm very curious to know how I will be able to find our room, the numbers seem blurry, and my arms are already tired, and no sign of my boyfriend around here! I hope everything goes well, I invested so much money in this...
• I entered a large corridor, it was very fancy, with plant details on the sides, and a red carpet spread on the floor, a beautiful play of white and yellow lights and the door was unlocked, from what I could see it was the right one, I will arrange things, and I will surprise my cat, I brought a "sexy" nightgown, and he will arrive here, and won't even believe it's me, I want nothing to go wrong today, I planned too much for this, and my future depends on our reconciliation!
• I'm nervous about it being our first time, actually mine! But I've been studying a bit about it and I think I'll be able to please him. I even learned some things to do to him, just can't go wrong! But it won't!
