• Alicia's voice quivered as she asked hesitantly, "So, I can really see you?" Memories of Tobias's recent call, during which he mentioned the possibility of a future meeting, came flooding back to her. Was the future arriving so soon?
• "Yes, that's right. Monday is visitation day at the hospital. But if you don't want to see me, I understand," replied Tobias, his voice even huskier than before as he coughed a few times.
• Alicia's guilt resurfaced upon hearing his coughing. "Are you okay? Which hospital are you in?" she asked, concerned.
