- The hotel phone ringing woke me up and for a few seconds I struggled to realize where I was. I felt Lucy stir in my arms and roll onto her stomach as I scooted across the bed and picked up the hand piece.
- "Hello," I said groggily.
- "Hello sir, just informing you that your check-out time is in twenty minutes," came female voice over the phone. "If you'd like to extend your stay, we will be happy to accommodate you."
