• The next morning, the police received a call from an unknown source, who refused to reveal his identity on the basis that he was scared for his life. They were informed that the body of someone was dumped in the bush by some men who lived around that area, the police invaded that area and some of Mateo's men were arrested while some were able to escape, some were shot dead by the police.
• The body of police investigator Mathew Valenzuela was found in the bushes behind Mateo's hideout. The news was everywhere, someone had informed the press so they went there with their cameras ready to shoot the juicy scene.
