Chapter 7 Pregnant
- GRACE
- My eyes blinked softly, adjusting to the light entering my retinas. My gaze swept across the room, which was dominated by wooden furniture. In this modern era, there were still people using fire as a means of lighting.
- I woke up in a strange place. I had no idea where I was at the moment. Likewise, I sat on a hard bed made of a pile of dried leaves and bear skins.
- “How are you now?” A voice with a soft tone came from a beautiful woman with hair as black as the night sky. The strange woman was wearing brown clothes that looked old. She walked into the room where I was lying. My forehead furrowed as the woman carried a large bowl and cloth in her hands.
- “Who are you, and where am I?” I asked her, who was currently sitting beside me. My body moved a little as my ass felt uncomfortable sitting on the hard surface.
- She raised her face and smiled at me. “You can call me Sophia. I found you unconscious in the middle of the forest, so I brought you to my house,” she replied as she placed a large bowl beside me.
- My mind was spinning, trying to remember what happened to me. The last moment I remember was a long argument with Alpha Alex, and he ended up rejecting me. I felt my heart squeeze to the point of breaking as I recalled his words of rejection. Every flash of memory about his behavior and his words caused pain all over my body.
- I regained consciousness when she wiped my arm with a wet cloth.
- “Thank you, Sophia. My name is Grace.” I smiled awkwardly, as it was the first time a strange woman had paid so much attention to me.
- She looked at me for a moment, then put the cloth into a large bowl. “Are you really Grace Annalisa?” she asked with a serious face.
- “Yes,” I replied in an awkward tone.
- Sophia nodded slowly. “Even though your body is covered in mud and wounds, I can recognize your figure, Luna Moon Pack.”
- “Former Luna Moon Pack.” I corrected her words quickly. Hearing someone say “Luna Moon Pack” made me remember the fun moments when I was in that pack. I would rather not keep getting stuck there because I was no longer a member of the Moon Pack.
- “Sorry.” Sophia removed the container using her magic. I was a little stunned at the same time. This is the first time I've seen someone use magic. “Do you know if you're currently in the Blood Pack, Miss Grace?”
- “Blood Pack?” My body trembled just hearing the name of the pack.
- Sophia nodded slowly. “You collapsed in the forest belonging to the Blood Pack territory.”
- My body weakened even more when I heard that I had collapsed in their territory. How could I have run so far that I stepped on the Blood pack's territory?
- The Blood Pack controls Colorado and the surrounding areas. The pack is not a safe place for an outcast werewolf like me. And the fact that Blood Pack had been Moon Pack's big rival for so long was enough to scare me. Its evil reputation and the wild behavior of its people made it a pack with many enemies. Entering the Blood Pack's territory was tantamount to entering a never-ending circle of nightmares.
- “Where are you going?” Sophia held my arm as I was about to stand up.
- I removed her hand from my arm as I stood up. “I need to get out of here. Blood Pack is not the place for me,” I replied quickly and frantically. Sweat started pouring down my back and hair as fear dominated me. My heart skipped a beat when I heard a wolf howl outside.
- Sophia stood beside me, and I fixed my gaze on her. “Then where are you going? The next pack is very far from here. I'm sure in your weakened state, you won't be able to fight the beasts!” she said it in a stern tone.
- I gave her a disapproving look. “I can kill dozens of rogues by myself.”
- She shook her head lightly with a smile that made me very annoyed when I saw it. “I believe in your abilities, Miss Grace. However, you won't be able to fight dozens of rogues with other lives inside your body.”
- “What do you mean?” I started to feel uncomfortable when I heard her words.
- Sophia's smile was so mysterious. It surprised me when her rough-textured palm touched my hand. “I have something important to tell you…” she said, pausing her speech. I can't describe the look on her face right now because she looks mysterious. “You are currently pregnant with triplets. Your pregnancy is three months old,” she continued with a rough sigh.
- Unconsciously, my tears flowed. I never thought this would happen to me.
- “This is impossible. Are you tricking me?!” I yelled while creating distance from her. I didn't feel any symptoms of morning sickness like a pregnant person would. But the past few months have indeed seen me gain weight.
- “There's no benefit for me to deceive you who have nothing. I am one oracle living in the Blood Pack. It's not hard to know you're pregnant because I've been sensing another existence inside your body since I first found you.”
- An oracle in the werewolf world is someone who can predict the future, see the dreams of supernatural beings, and sense the existence of other creatures. In werewolf history books, we say them to be the link between the human world and the supernatural world. They rarely appear in packs.
- The history of the Oracle is actually unclear because this ability has existed since ancient times. Their existence influenced the birth of human culture. They were a source of inspiration for the rituals, beliefs, and actions performed by humans.
- She grasped my palm, then guided it to my stomach. Somehow, my soul felt at ease around her, and my instincts told me that she was not a bad person. “From now on, you must take care of your health because carrying triplets without a mate requires a lot of energy.”
- My eyes filled with tears as I heard Sophia's words. My right hand rubbed my lower abdomen, which felt a little protruding.
