• The painful words that came out of Gabriel's mouth managed to make me ponder for a moment. My nose and mouth inhaled greedily for oxygen. My lower lip folded inward to hold back all the swearing that wanted to come out of my mouth.
• I turned to face Gabriel, who was five steps away from where I was standing. “Do you think I'll be sad and cry when you ask about my past? It doesn't hurt my pride at all because I have achieved my goal of making the Moon Pack rank first.
