• Seeing that Denise was not responding to my calls, I decided to touch her to bring her back to earth. I wonder what could make her to be so lost in thought like this. She nearly jumped out of her skin when my hand reached her arm. I apologized for startling her and asked if everything was okay with her. She tried to downplay it, but I knew there was something wrong.
• Anyway, I walked her back to the room since she said she would not be coming down for dinner. Maybe a good night's rest will help her, like she said. Yet, I wondered what could worry her like this. Denise is not a woman that things get to so easily. I sighed and turned around to head to my room.
