• Jeri sobbed bitterly in Sophia's embrace, and Sophia tried to console her. It was as if her life had ended following the incident on the ground.
• "Your tears will not solve the current problem, Jeri. I will recommend that you approach Darien and explain things to him. I'm certain that he will give you listening ears,” Sophia conversed with Jeri after noticing that there was no way out, except pleading for Darien's mercy.
• "Do you think begging Darien to forgive me will help to restore my reputation? Do you think his parents would forgive me if Darien did? What about the resources and time that the two companies have spent on the new projects?” Jeri flooded Sophia with questions in less than a minute.
