• She was happy that I gave Lachlan a chance to explain himself a little, and I didn’t start accusing him of the worst-case scenario right off the bat. I wanted to, but the connection between Killian and Val in the bond is undeniable. That’s the only explanation for why I was feeling the way I was towards Lachlan.
