Chapter 89 Do I Have A Choice?
- The thoughts of the images I saw occupied my mind as we journeyed towards a place I didn't want to go to. Drake sat next to me, unmoving unless necessary. At times, I even thought he had fallen asleep, however whenever I looked at him, I always found his eyes fixed on me, like he was making sure I wouldn't jump out through the window and disappear into the forest.
- I had thought about that, though, but I knew it would be futile. Drake would catch me if I tried that.
- I sat still on the carriage seat, promising myself that I wouldn't speak to him, that I would keep my lips tightly pressed together until he apologized. However, inhaling his sweet scent tingled with a hint of smoke woke up something in me.
