• Jonny was struck by the pressure of immeasurable pain that stung his senses, his face battered. He groaned, feeling his jaw stiff from being beaten. His whole body seemed to crumble. Thick blood oozed from his head, his two eyes pained by his own blood – he had trouble seeing around him.
• The situation is tense. Jonny's breath was hunting. His body was firmly bound in an iron chair. He could not move his hands and feet. The rope's bowknot was strangling his neck. As Jonny tried to break, free-his neck was even more strongly twisted.
