Chapter 61 Twenty Five: King Micah

  • The sight of my mother's battered body laying on the floor of the dungeon would forever be in my head. She was almost unrecognizable, but I still knew that it was her. The fact that Micah threatened to kill her if I ever tried to escape made me even angrier, but there was nothing I could do. I had to keep my mother safe.

  • There was no words shared between the King and I and the tensed atmosphere was suffocating me. The horse stumbled a little from all rocks and gripped Micah's thighs for support and quickly let it go like it had burnt me.
