...With those teary eyes, filled with hope, she looked at me and I stood still. Thinking, whether I should forgive her for the pain she caused me or I should bear the scar and leave her behind just like she did...
Evelyn POV:-
It's been a month and everything is pretty much normal. We all are back to normal. And here I am, trying to put my daughter to sleep. Seems like she is on some sort of sleep strike. She is not sleeping at all. It's night and she hasn't slept all day so in the night. Lawrence was looking at me as I was walking in the darkroom with my precious pearl in my arms. I continued to hum as she is constantly giggling and I am too sleepy. I continued to walk as she continued to giggle. For a second, everything calmed down and a spark of hope that she's asleep filled me but it fades away when I heard Lawrence voice, "Not sleeping, huh?" And upon hearing her father's voice Skyler jumped out of my arm and thankfully even in the dark, she didn't fell on the ground. But then I turned on the lights and give a death glare to Lawrence who averts his gaze and began to play with Skyler.
