Chapter 30
- I stepped out of the locker room, the scent of sweat and adrenaline still clinging to me. But all of that faded away the moment I saw Katrina. She was sitting on a bench, her bright smile cutting through the fog in my mind. I couldn't help but smile back, though my thoughts were still tangled in Coach’s words.
- “If you accept that offer, you’ll be in the same league as her,” Coach had said, his voice carrying both pride and a warning. He subtly nodded toward Katrina. “But remember, it’s a betrayal to the pack. I arranged this meeting in secret so your friends wouldn’t know. The decision is yours, Arch.”
- “Yes, Coach,” I had muttered, still unsure, as I headed toward Katrina. Lunch was on the agenda, but my mind was buzzing with too many questions.
