• I’ve had some time to reflect. Back then, I thought we were fine. I thought Ella was fine—but none of it was. I had turned a blind eye to what was right in front of me, ignored her, and lost what was most important to me. I have no one to blame but myself now.
• The plan now is to finish work here and run to the ends of the earth. I need time and space to rebuild myself from the ground up. As luck would have it, I ran into Cheryl on the street, acting suspiciously. Perfect timing, because this job needs to end as soon as possible.
