Chapter 5
- Hayden parked his car next to mine in the building's parking lot where I lived. He helped me take out the bag and followed me to the elevator. I glanced at him, and he had a silly smile on his lips.
- "I'm not going to sleep with you, you could be my grandson," I said.
- He stopped smiling and looked at me.
- "Why do you think I want to sleep with you?" he asked.
- I wanted to smack myself for saying such nonsense.
- "I don't know, you're acting weird and that confuses me," I said honestly.
- Hayden smiled sideways.
- "I don't want to be anyone's sugar mommy," I said.
- Hayden started laughing. Now I felt even more stupid. God, why did I say so many stupid things?
- "Can you stop?" I asked, annoyed.
- He stopped laughing and looked me in the eyes.
- "I'm sorry," he apologized as he gave me a smile.
- The elevator doors opened on my floor and I stepped out. I walked to my apartment without looking back. One of my neighbors looked at me and greeted me, then glanced over my shoulder and smiled.
- "He's my nephew," I lied.
- She looked at me unconvinced but didn't say anything. I grabbed Hayden's hand and quickly ushered him in; I didn't want more people to see him and think I was a pervert.
- "Your nephew?" she asked with amusement.
- "She was getting weird ideas," I said.
- I took the bags from him and went to the kitchen; I put everything on the counter and started taking out the bottles and snacks I had bought for snacking.
- "How do you know what she was thinking?" he asked.
- I took a deep breath and turned to look at him. I had made a huge mistake bringing him to my house. What the hell was happening to me? I was acting like an idiot.
- "I'm a lawyer, I have to know what the opponent is thinking," I said.
- He nodded.
- "What am I thinking?" he asked seriously.
- I observed him for a long moment and my mind went blank.
- "That I'm a crazy menopausal woman who thinks you like her," I said with a small smile.
- He approached me, put his hand between my arm and placed it on my waist, then pulled me closer to him, pressing me against his body.
- "You got the last part right," he said.
- He slowly brought his face closer to mine; the pupils of his blue eyes began to dilate with each inch he approached. I swallowed hard. This wasn't happening!
- I closed my eyes and felt his warm lips on mine. I felt his wet tongue making its way into my lips, but I pressed my mouth tighter.
- "Open your eyes," he requested.
- I opened my eyes and looked at him. He had an expression of eroticism that I had never seen in any man. Hayden kissed me, and this time he took advantage of my carelessness to stick his tongue deep into my mouth. I gasped as I felt his hands squeezing my buttocks. He lifted me slightly, leaving me on tiptoe; that way, I could feel his huge bulge pressing against my pelvis. In a moment of lucidity, I pushed him away and slapped him.
- "What's wrong with you, I could be your mother!" I shouted.
- He looked as confused as I was.
- "I'm sorry," he said.
- He rubbed his cheek and then smiled at me.
- "I like you, and I know I'm going to conquer you," he said.
- I blinked a couple of times. Was he crazy? Or was I the crazy one?
- Hayden turned around and left my apartment, leaving me with a whirlwind of emotions. I grabbed a bottle of wine and opened it; I took a good swig. Maybe it had all been a product of my imagination.
- I left the bottle on the kitchen counter, took off my heels, and threw them aside. What had happened to me was crazy; these things weren't supposed to happen in real life, especially to ordinary women like me.
- I searched for my phone and dialed Grace's number; she was the only one who could help me with this.
- "Hello?" she answered.
- I could hear moans and strange noises.
- "Tell me you're not having sex with anyone, please," I pleaded.
- She let out a little giggle.
- "I told you I'll be there for you anytime. Ah! What happened?" she asked.
- I stayed silent for a moment.
- "It's nothing, just have a good time," I said and hung up.
- I grabbed the bottle and went to the bedroom. I didn't need anyone else tonight. It was just me, my snacks, and alcohol; that was all I needed for the moment. I was going to forget what had happened a few minutes ago; maybe he was just desperate, and because I was older, he thought I would open my legs right away.
- I took a long sip from the bottle, sat on the bed, and absentmindedly stared at the door of my room. To be honest, it had been a long time since I had been kissed in such a hot and passionate way like he had done. I lay down on the bed and put my hand inside my pants. I was overthinking things just because I needed sex.
