Chapter 34

• The night came, and I was biting my nails out of nervousness. I looked at the clock again and took a deep breath. Hayden should have arrived half an hour ago. What if she told him and now he wants nothing to do with me? I scratched my head in desperation and started pacing in circles in the kitchen; the nerves were killing me.
• "Please, come quickly," I pleaded to nothing.
• I heard the door open. I rushed out of the kitchen; Hayden was coming in. I ran to him and hugged him tightly.
