• The next morning, I am at work early, rested and all.
• When Kaylah enters my office with a cup of hot coffee, I begin my brief meeting with her. “I have to put things in order at Danner's companies today. Notify her lawyers that we're meeting tonight," I tell her. “You know that the shares of the mall now partly belong to Windrug&So and me personally. I want to completely divest it into a separate entity. Are you interested in the director position? You wanted a promotion?”.
• Kaylah looks at me in surprise. “Really, Loraine? Will I get that position?”, she asks with tears in her eyes. I look at her in surprise, as my secretary, she is not exactly unknown. I know she enjoys all kinds of privileges wherever she goes. “The director's chair plus another two percent of shares and a salary that is indexed to the performance of the mall,” I offer. The chair falls from under her ass as she jumps up and falls around my neck. She screams with joy. “Thank you, Loraine. When do I start?” she asks happily.
