- Theo's hot breath brushed against my ear, making me shudder. But then, he suddenly straightened up and stepped back, his smile never wavering. "Anyway," he said, his voice dripping with nonchalance, "we have a function to attend to. Shall we?" He offered me his arm, his eyes glinting with amusement, as if daring me to refuse.
