Chapter 99
- Chapter 99: She Calls Him Master
- In the next morning, she stirs awake on the bed, her lashes fluttering softly as the golden sunlight pours through the tall windows, bathing the sheets in soft warmth. She yawns and smiles to herself, the hazy sweetness of her dream still fresh in her mind like the lingering scent of perfume on skin. She’d been surrounded by a garden of wild, radiant flowers—her arms curled possessively around Luca’s strong body as he kissed her, held her, caressed her, made her cry out his name over and over until her throat went sore, until her soul screamed with need.
- She stretches luxuriously, letting out a small sigh of contentment, and reaches her hand out across the bed toward his side. Her fingers skim the cool, empty space where his body should be. She pouts unconsciously. She wanted him against her—naked, warm, strong. She just wanted to pull him close and hold him, feel his breath on her neck, his hand on her thigh, the weight of his body over hers.
