- Luca leans back in his chair, the dark leather creaking under the slow tension of his movement. His fingers tap once against the rim of his crystal glass, the amber scotch inside barely touched. Vittorio hasn’t stopped watching him since Lena’s name was uttered into the dim-lit room. The look in his eyes is too damn sharp, too perceptive for comfort. The smile Vittorio wears is one of those knowing ones—dangerous, teasing, and irritatingly smug.
- “She’s not a problem,” Luca states firmly, cold steel in his tone. “She’s being handled.”
