Chapter 4

  • After kissing for a long time, Felix finally let go of Estela and pressed her against the wall. His voice was hoarse as he said, "Why are you seducing me? I told you not to be impudent in front of Madge."
  • Estela didn't answer his question. She hugged his neck and could not help but laugh. After a long time, she leaned close to his ear and exhaled.
  • "Have you been seduced? I'm jealous, but I'm not allowed to throw a tantrum?" Estela said softly.
  • As she wheedled, Estela rubbed her body against his hard chest. Felix felt her softness like water and didn't speak, but his breathing became heavier. After a moment, he couldn't help but kiss her again.
  • Felix said, "I'll set off the same fireworks for you tomorrow. Whatever Madge has next, you have it too. The only thing is that my bottom line is not to make a scene in front of Madge."
  • Although she had long known about Felix and Estela's situation, Madge was ultimately no match for the lethality she saw with her own eyes. Her heart felt a faint pain, and her eyes filled with tears unconsciously.
  • Tears blurred Madge's vision. Through the narrow gap in the door, she looked at the two people in the stairwell who no longer knew what the world was. She watched as Felix kissed the side of Estela's neck, but his hand had already quietly reached under her skirt.
  • Estela's moans and Felix's forbearing gasps came through the crack in the door. Madge's brain told her that she should turn around and leave now, but her legs seemed to be fixed in place and she couldn't move.
  • Just a wall away, Madge heard Felix, who had once said he would never let her down, flirting with another woman.
  • Soon, Madge took out her phone with trembling hands, aimed it at a spot not far away, and started to press the recording button. She listened outside the door for as long as they were entangled inside.
  • In the end, when the two of them were gasping for breath, Madge looked at the recording time on the screen. A full hour and thirty-six minutes passed. But this was not the end.
  • Seeing that Felix had opened the second condom, Estela stopped him in a soft voice. "Mr. Cole, No. Aren't you going to accompany Mrs. Cole? The wind is strong. She has been waiting for a long time."
  • "Shut up! Get down!" Felix interrupted her coldly and didn't say anything. Instead, he occupied her again directly and began the next conquest.
  • This time, Madge could not listen to it anymore. She staggered and turned around, her face pale as she left.
  • After returning home, Madge wordlessly sorted out all the memories related to Felix over the years.
  • Photos of them, all the gifts Felix had given her, the items they'd once chosen together that represented a loving couple. There were also wedding dresses, wedding photos, wedding rings...
  • Madge put all those things into a box and asked someone to move them to the garden. After the servants dispersed, she took out a lighter expressionlessly and lit the box.
  • Finally, Madge turned her gaze to the garden behind her. There was a large patch of roses that Felix had personally planted for her.
  • When Felix had personally planted this large patch of roses, he smiled and pulled her into his arms. "Baby. Roses represent pure love. You're the first girl I've fallen for, and the only girl I want to marry. My love for you is pure and flawless."
  • What a pure and flawless love! Madge muttered.
  • Thinking of what she had just seen, Madge smiled mockingly and lit all the fire. The flames soared into the sky and instantly burned a large area of romantic roses.
  • Madge stood where she was and watched coldly as the flames devoured all the memories between them. Felix, the roses will not grow anymore. There is no future between us.
  • Seeing that the entire back garden had been reduced to ruins, Madge turned around and returned to her room to pack her luggage.
  • Just as Madge was halfway through tidying up, urgent footsteps suddenly came from outside. Before she could react, the bedroom door was pushed open with a bang.
  • Felix's forehead was covered in sweat as he rushed in like a madman. He only heaved a sigh of relief when he saw Madge in his room.
  • "Baby, why do you sneak away alone? Do you know that I almost went crazy looking for you?" Felix asked anxiously.
  • There was fear in his voice, but Madge just looked at him and said nothing. It was in that quiet moment that Felix finally saw the clothes spread out in the cloakroom.
  • In an instant, Felix felt his brain buzz and his entire brain shut down. He could only hear his trembling voice. "Why are you packing? Where are you going?"
