Chapter 4 Four

  • "Get in the car.", The stranger said. Sanaya looked at him, he seemed to be tough, she didn't see him smiling yet and he had only one expression, that was kinda scary. But he opened the car door for her like a gentleman.
  • "Don't you want to?", He asked her as she was standing there. Not moving at all.
  • "Ahh no, I…", she got in the car immediately and he sighed. On the way, Sanaya had her breathing held on when she was sitting next to him. Even though she didn't know him, she felt he was quite a cold person who doesn't talk much. They didn't talk, she didn't dare to look at him. The man was seated next to her while closing his eyes, as if he was a statue.
  • "Thank you Sir.", Before getting out Sanaya thanked him. He nodded his head slightly and she left the car. The man did not utter even a single word and got in the car. She turned around to see that the car was not there anymore from which she understood that it might be the last time she met that stranger.
  • Letting out a sigh of despair she looked at her phone, it was off. "Oh no! I forgot to charge it before leaving for the party. I should find Clara first or I'll be in real trouble. My set is dead, I am lost here. Seriously, I should not go anywhere alone until I am getting to know all the places around.", Sighing she walked in the party hall. She was walking when she saw Clara. As soon as she saw her Sanaya ran towards Clara and hugged her.
  • "Where were you? Are you okay?" Clara asked her in a concerned tone while hugging her.
  • "Yes, I am ok. I was lost. Thankfully a stranger helped me out.", Sanaya replied. She was so happy that she found her, finally.
  • "Omg! What exactly happened?", Clara was worried. She asked her worriedly as she looked at Sanaya.
  • After hearing everything Clara sighed, "Thank God someone was there. Don't go anywhere alone, ok? I will be more careful, I won't leave you alone."
  • "Hmm, I won't. I was scared today, I almost thought that I would not be saved but I was lucky to meet that stranger.", Sanaya smiled as she pronounced it.
  • "I'm so sorry Sanaya. Actually, I had got a call so I just went to the balcony. I didn't know this much would happen." Clara made a sad face. She did not know Sanaya would leave there. She thought Sanaya would be around.
  • "It's ok. It was my fault to walk out of here without informing you. Daniel told me not to go anywhere but I…"
  • "Hey, are you ok?" Suddenly running to both Sanaya and Clara, Daniel asked Sanaya. When he and Clara could not find her where she was supposed to be, they were worried about her.
  • "Yes I am.", Sanaya replied.
  • "But do you know his name? That stranger.", When Clara asked her, Sanaya then thought, yeah she didn't know his name. How could she know when he did not even talk to her on his own!
  • "Ahh that I don't know.", She answered.
  • "How about his looks? You might have seen him, right?" Clara was curious about the stranger. Who saved Sanaya but generous enough to not even ask her anything, wow.
  • "Hmm, I did. He is good-looking, tall, sharp-featured I think, he might be well built… he has attractive green eyes, he had a white shirt and white pants on and a… blue blazer. And…", She tried to remember how he exactly looked earlier when they met.
  • "Wait wait. Are you kidding?`` Clara looked at her, raising her one eyebrow.
  • "No, I am serious. He is the one who saved me.", Said Sanaya, showing her innocent reaction.
  • "And you have let him go? You have let a Greek God go just like that? Sanaya, my poor girl. You are so… ", Clara looked at her, making an awful reaction when Sanaya couldn't understand, "Then what should I have done?" Clara laughed as she asked such a question. "You could kidnap him, and then we could sell him out and get money. Then we would get rich.", Saying so Clara started laughing.
  • "Are you serious?", Sanaya's expression was funny. She took it seriously. As she understood that Clara was making fun of her she hit her shoulder gently.
  • "You girls are really very dangerous, you know?", Said Daniel. He was there, listening to their conversation.
  • "Yeah, we are. We can kidnap you too, but you are good at martial arts and we girls don't want to be in trouble.", Said Clara sarcastically while holding Sanaya's one arm.
  • Daniel was about to talk back when Clara started screaming all of a sudden, "Oh my God. He is here. I can't believe he came…"
  • "Huh? Whom are you talking about?", Sanaya looked in the direction Clara was looking at with her twinkling eyes but all she could see was the back of a man. Then she saw all the girls there looking at that man as if a prince was among the crowd of princesses and those princesses were about to throw themselves upon him. Sanaya was eager to know who he was.
  • **
  • "...", As soon as he (the stranger) arrived in the party hall he could hear girl's gossip. The way they were looking at him, has never changed. It was making him getting annoyed only.
  • The reporters were waiting eagerly for him and as soon as they saw him, they ran towards him. Before he could meet his cousin brother and uncle he was surrounded by the reporters.
  • He never liked being in the spotlight. He got annoyed as soon as reporters would appear in front of him. He believed reporters needed just some news even if it was not true they would easily make it crispy and hot. As reporters kept surrounding him he did not try to shoo them away but to answer them. When he was talking to the reporters one of the reporters suddenly asked him," Mr. Nick, today is Miss Tuna's birthday. Did you throw this party for her?"
  • "No", He answered shortly.
  • "What is the relationship between Miss Tuna and you? Are you guys in a relationship?" Another reporter questioned him.
  • "Can be said we are like siblings. She is like a little sister to me.", He answered, without changing his pale expression when his voice was cold.
  • People started gossiping there, even the reporters started gossiping. The man was still standing in the spotlight. Not only reporters but everybody in the party except Sanaya was shocked but happy about his answer. Girls were getting their hopes up as he announced himself as a single bachelor finally.
  • "But she tags you in most of her posts in social media…", one of the reporters said. He was clever and was not gonna let them make up a story that was fake.
  • "I don't know why as I don't have time to spend on social media. You may ask her about it.", He answered, making them trying to find their next question. The reporters started gossiping again. He didn't smile as always. It was hard to see him smiling, outsiders didn't see him smiling, NEVER. He always had a serious face, those cold eyes of his and his pale expression. Who would dare to talk to him!
  • "Then do you have someone you like?"As asked by another reporter his facial expression changed for a second but then he had the same cold expression.
  • "I do.", He said. Waw, it was the first time he said something like that. Accepting that he, the male God, had someone he liked? Everybody was more than shocked.
  • "Then is she present here?"
  • "... She is.", For the next question he immediately answered while looking at the crowd. His expression was not cold.
  • "Can you say what her name is? Everybody eagerly is waiting to see her…", hearing a reporter asking him that he finally smiled. No, it was more than a miracle. Wait, if there was even something called more than a miracle then. He was the man who never smiled and tonight, he was… he was smiling? People were seeing dreams?
  • "I won't say her name but… If you guys promise that you won't ask her anything, you guys won't make her feel uncomfortable then I will let you know who I am dating currently. She wants to lead a normal life, she doesn't like to get interviewed by reporters. I hope you guys can understand.'' those reporters' jaws dropped as they heard him. Today was their luckiest day for sure.
  • "Sure. We can do that.", They said enthusiastically.
  • "Thank you so much. I will let you guys take some photos of us when we'll be dancing together later.", Saying so he looked at the crowd again where he had his eyes only on one girl, while leaving those reporters in the hope of their promotion. The hottest news was yet to come out and there were certainties for some of the reporters to get promoted. They couldn't wait to see his girlfriend.
  • "You will be dancing with her later, right? So the girl you will be dancing with is your girlfriend?", A reporter asked him.
  • "Yes.", He said shortly. Reporters were happier than ever that they were going to get some hot news. No, they already got it but they needed photos too. They were eagerly waiting.
  • He walked away to the reporters, while he had that cold expression on his face. He had a powerful aura surrounding him.
  • "Who's she? I never heard of her before…", a beautiful tall girl was looking at him from closer. Her name is Tuna, a famous actress who had her eyes on him for many years. But unfortunately, she was never wanted by him, it's just he never said anything to her when she kept tagging him in most of her social media posts.
  • "Your girlfriend is here and you didn't even tell me. Why don't I know about her? You are so fishy, Nick" Maxwell walked to him while saying so.
  • "She is not my girlfriend.", The man who was addressed as Nick said so in a cold tone while walking past Maxwell.
  • "What? But you said…", Maxwell was interrupted by him as he said, "I never pronounced from my own mouth that she is my girlfriend."
  • "Eh? What is it then? Didn't you say you like her?" Maxwell was confused. He was following Nick behind.
  • "I did.", Nick replied shortly.
  • "Wait, you like her but she is not your girlfriend. Then are you… it means you didn't confess to her yet?" Maxwell looked at him, widening his eyes.
  • "What confession?" Nick looked at him while raising his one eyebrow.
  • "Confession… that you love her. You should tell her that you love her, and confess your feelings to her.", Maxwell said curiously. Oops, Nick was going to confess his feelings to a girl. It was going to be super fun.
  • "So I have a daughter in law already but I didn't even know. Well done, bravo!", A man in his fifties said so, walking towards Nick and Maxwell.
  • "Uncle.", Nick looked at him.
  • "Yes, dad. He didn't tell me either. It means we were abandoned by him. It's not fair.", Maxwell quickly walked to his dad and hid behind him. Nick looked at him, "What abandonment?"
  • "You have met sister-in-law but kept us in the dark. I got it, you have a girlfriend that's why you didn't come home all these months, now I know. You've abandoned us and went to see your girlfriend. And I…"
  • "You think too much.", Nick cut him off as he announced so. Looking at his uncle Nick said, "Uncle, I didn't tell you about her because I hadn't met her before. I just met her this evening."
  • "What?" His uncle looked at him with utter surprise.
  • "Yes."
  • "This evening? Wait, you just met her and you said you like her?" Maxwell was like falling to the street from the high building. He could not believe Nick's sarcastic behaviour. He might be kidding!
  • "Nick, do you truly like her or do you just want to play around?... Look, son, you should not play around with a woman. You know you can't hurt a woman's feelings.", His uncle knew Nick since his childhood but still, he wanted to warn him just like a guardian.
  • "I am not. I truly like her.", As Nick said it, his uncle smiled. Nick was quite serious but he knew that he was a good hearted person. Since he said himself that he liked her then there was nothing to worry about. He was happy so he hugged Nick, "I am glad to know that you've found someone you like. I'll be waiting to meet her as well."
  • "Thank you, uncle.", Said Nick, hugging him.
  • Nick was looking at the woman who was talking to her friends while smiling, she was wearing an off-shoulder burgundy lace prom dress. Seeing her smiling he smiled but his smile was not showing his love for her or his feelings for her but it was something else, as he saw Maxwell to look at him his smile fed away.
