• My blood boiled as I watched Kael and Cassandra from across the room. The way they had tried to twist the situation, to make Lilac the villain, made my wolf snarl beneath the surface. Hunter was clawing at the edges of my control, demanding retribution. I wanted to tear them apart, to make them pay for every ounce of pain they had caused Lilac. But I held back, barely. My fists clenched at my sides, my jaw tight as I fought to keep my composure.
