Chapter 31 The Second Kiss

• The car was unusually quiet. Mia sat beside Adrian in the back seat, staring through the tinted window as New York blurred past them. Neither of them had said much since leaving the mansion.
• The photographs from the previous evening had changed everything. Their kiss had been meant for the cameras. At least, that was what they had told themselves.
• But now the image of it existed everywhere. Mia had seen it that morning on the front page of three different entertainment sites. Adrian had received dozens of messages from executives, friends, and board members.
