Chapter 23 Elena's Room

• Mia had lived in the Black Mansion long enough to know that there were rooms she was not supposed to enter. Adrian's office was one of them before their marriage. His private study was another, and then there was the entire eastern wing of the house.
• No one had ever told Mia exactly what was there. She had simply learned that the staff avoided that hallway, Adrian never mentioned it, and Lily had been instructed not to wander there alone.
