Chapter 474 Callan Moore Is My Man Now
- Sienna had nothing to say after Kaylee’s jab. If buying a house was like picking up a handbag, then yeah—whoever she was talking about had serious money. A pampered young heiress setting the bar that low for herself? Not Sienna’s problem. She wasn’t wasting breath on it. “Whatever makes you happy.” She paused, then added, “But Callan Moore is my man now. Ms. Kaylee, you’d better not set your sights on him. We’re not married yet, sure, but if someone tries to wedge themselves in between us, I won’t sit back and take it.” She made a “please” gesture. “You’re not familiar with the Moore residence. I’ll show you around.” Kaylee’s face went cold. “All you’ve got is a pretty face. You latched onto Ninth Brother the second he got back in the country. Let me tell you, what he and I had isn’t something a woman like you can ruin.” Sienna’s fine brows lifted. So Ms. Kaylee didn’t know Callan had waited for her for years. Sienna didn’t bother arguing. “If that’s how you feel, go have Callan come tell me to break up.” “As long as Callan says it, I promise I won’t cling to him.” She didn’t care whether Kaylee followed or not. She turned and left first. She still had to head to the company this afternoon. She’d pop in on Stephie while she had a minute. It was the weekend, and both Stephanie and Stephie were working overtime. School had been in session for over a week, and Stephie still hadn’t made it past the school gate. The two kids were building a plane again. As usual, Matt built while Stephie watched like a hawk. Seeing Matt, Kaylee froze for a second. Last time she’d come by, he’d been at school, so she hadn’t seen him. “Matt?” Kaylee suddenly got it. “So your brother dumped you here. I was wondering why I hadn’t seen you in a while.” Matt glanced up at Kaylee, said nothing, and went back to his LEGO. Stephie didn’t even turn her head. Being ignored again, Kaylee pulled in a long breath. Sienna walked over, patted Stephie’s head, and asked Matt, “Where’s Aunt Stephanie?” “Inside.” Matt didn’t even look up. Sienna tapped the table. “Greet people.” Matt finally lifted his head, looking a bit unwilling but not daring to push back. “Aunt Sienna.” “And?” Sienna prompted. Matt cut a look at Kaylee. “Ning.” Kaylee’s face fell. “What’s that supposed to mean, kid? I’m about her age. Why is she ‘Aunt’ and I’m just ‘Ning’?” Matt rolled his eyes. “Weren’t you the one who asked me to call you that?” Kaylee: “…” Sienna nodded, satisfied. “You’re the older brother now. Set the tone. Be polite.” Matt shot Stephie a look full of disdain. “What a hassle.” Stephie only stared at him with those big dark eyes, not mad at all about being dissed. Seeing her like that, Matt suddenly got annoyed and messed up several pieces in a row. He picked one up and shoved it into her hand, tone sharp. “Why are you just standing there? Use your hands.” Stephie looked down at the tiny piece, then at the plane, which Matt had mostly finished. She pressed her small hand against the underside of the fuselage. Click. It snapped into place. Matt froze, checked where she’d put it—dead on. He glanced at her in disbelief, grabbed another piece, and handed it over. Stephie studied the model again, then fitted the piece onto the other side of the plane’s belly.
