Chapter 79 The Truth

  • Aaron’s POV
  • A wave of relief washed over me as I witnessed Emma's recovery. Although her health was on the mend, there was still a mountain of work that lay before me, a daunting task to undo all the damage Mrs Jenkins had inflicted. Thankfully, she was safely locked away, and her ability to cause any more harm diminished. It baffled me how someone could harbour such malicious intentions, especially towards an innocent child. How could anyone want to harm an innocent child and cause countless lives to be lost? The thought left me utterly bewildered.
  • Lost in my thoughts, my mind involuntarily drifted to my family - my father and brother. I knew they would be less thrilled about Isla's hybrid nature, but I couldn't keep it hidden forever. Witnessing Isla and her mother's long-awaited reunion only emphasised the deep longing my mate, my beautiful Luna, had for her daughter. It was heart-wrenching to see how much Isla had yearned for the presence of her beloved family, who adored her. It became abundantly clear that bringing Isla's hybrid family into the fold was the only way for us to move forward to ensure the best for my mate and our future.
