Chapter 44 Your Revenge

• I stared at my leather cut in the closet for a long time before I pulled it from the hanger and slid it on. It would be the last time I ever wore it and I was feeling bitter-sweet about it as I ran my hands along the soft leather and over my patches.
• When I pulled into the clubhouse lot, I looked around and took in everything for one last time. I knew I had to get my shit together because Alexander would sense something was wrong with her. And if he did, I wasn't sure if I'd be able to lie to him.
• Entering the bar, I saw the normal neon lights. Careen was behind the bar, Smokey and Gearhead played pool in the back corner, and Danny nursed a beer at the bar. He looked like hell, but I was glad he was still alive and kicking.
