Chapter 15

~ July 31st - 2:45 PM ~
He had noticed that there were more issues with the generator than just a simple chewed up tube. Taking it upon himself, he had decided that he would fix the problems. Rodger was deep in concentration as he worked on the generator. He took pride in every task that he set out to complete. Rodger removed the tube that was afflicted by tiny mouths that he believed had chewed holes into the rubber tube. After placing it off to the side, he grabbed the new one that was nearby. With care, he slid the new tube back into place.
Out of the corner of his eyes, Rodger thought he had seen a shadow move. Out of reflex, he jumped backwards, dropping the tool in his hand. Rodger cursed out a string of colourful words describing the pain in his foot. Moaning and groaning, he clenched his teeth together as the pain slowly subsided. From the shadows of the shed, a field mouse scurried on top of the toolbox.
